Deborah Christian is currently the administrator for Family Ministries Foster Care where she has faithfully served for the last five years. She has served in a few different capacities while employed with the organization; she has been a case manager, worked in direct care when needed and then became administrator of Young Children’s Home and Family Ministries Foster Home. She graduated with a bachelors degree in organizational leadership from the of the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith. Deborah is a native of Texas; however, she has lived in Arkansas since 1991 and currently resides in Greenwood. She has been married to Shannon for 24 years and they have four boys Audry, Wesley, James-Henry and John-Whaley and a grandson Tommy Floyd.
Family is extremely important to Deborah, and she believes every child should enjoy the warmth, encouragement and comfort of a family. Recruiting and training foster families to stand in the gap while biological families work to reunify is Deborah’s passion. God is the giver of all good gifts, and she considers it a true blessing to share His love and faithfulness with others. She is quick to offer a prayer, smile, or hug to all she encounters.
